Ash and I were just discussing how our bosses email us but then come into our offices and tell us their responses before we read the email.
Does this happen in all offices or just the bored offices?

My boss is bad for that too. Or she’ll call me and tell me to check my email. Get off my ass. This is why I never check my work email.

In the public sector. In the private sector the follow-up is usually them yelling at you for not responding yet.

my office communicates via email 95% of the time. there are 4 of us in a tiny office. it makes me crazy! just say it out loud! i’m right here

Every office, I typically respond to my bosses IM’s with a combination of IM responses and shouting over the cube wall. I mix it up.
