Does anyone use the social networking site Ning? I’m trying to find a good site to create a forum-like atmosphere for people I work with. Are there any suggestions of sites for this kind of forum? We’ll be using it to share articles, information, blogs, work-related forms, scheduling events, etc??

I use it, it has worked well for us. However, if you know anything about web programming I would just use an open-source forum program.

probably yammer.com, it’s like twitter for workgroups. 37signals’ basecamp or backpack are easy to use.

i have used crwdvine and 37 signals groups of products. crwdvine and ning would probably be better for your purposes.

If it’s work related, try ProjectForum. They’re free, and my work uses their wiki software. Google notebook/apps may work too
