Stop the oppression of women in the Islamic world.
This is nice but the oppression of women in the islamic world is very, very complicated. Although the men (husbands and fathers) of these women could very well be forcing them to dress in a niqab or hijab, alot of women do prefer it.
Where the oppression comes in is where the women are told not to drive and to walk behind men and fucked up shit like that. But I can show you the verses in the Quran that clearly states women and men are equal. And all these terrible laws and rules that are very illogical come from scholars today or back in the day who didn’t know what the fuck they were talking about. But if you look at the history of the prophet and his family, he treated women with the most respect ever. :)
Truth from Fatima. It took me a while to learn that what we think others might want or need might not always be exactly what they want or need. It’s from learning the history and talking but more so listening with those that are directly involved that we can begin to grasp what the need is.
