Serious questions.

I know there are a lot of smart and happy people out there, but do you think it’s possible to be too smart… to be happy? Like, you think too critically about everything, you’re keen to the bullshit, and in general, you pay attention to things that other people are able to ignore, making for less enjoyable experiences?

I don’t think I’m a genius by any stretch of the imagination, but I do have a bad habit of overanalyzing everything which usually includes the possible outcomes and when I don’t like the possible outcomes then I don’t partake, which actually ends up with me not partaking in a lot. Too cautious, or something. Maybe I’m confusing cautious with smarts.

This makin’ any sense?

Studies have found that smart people drive themselves mad because they can never stop thinking about things.

I am not in the “zone” today.
Honestly, why do so many people give a shit what people do with other people on their own time, behind their own doors? Oh wait, it’s because they hate their lives and like the argument for the above, misery <3’s company.

I’ve found lots of low-fat crock pot recipes, but they all seem bland as hell.

Veggie chili:

Half a zucchini

1 can of beans (pinto, kidney, or red)

16oz of your favorite salsa

Half a cup of ketchup

Taco seasoning (half a packet)

1/4 green bell pepper

salt and pepper to taste

Throw it all in your crockpot and let it sit for like two hours. It’s HEAVENLY! Especially with cheese and Sunchips.

The Reading List

fatmanatee:

But for many, economic stresses are just another ingredient in dysfunctional home lives, leading many to run away. They escape their home only to find new dangers and challenges; as many have pointed out, it’s not that these youth are living on the streets — they’re surviving, at best. And while Obama’s economic stimulus plan has funneled $1.5 billion to fight homelessness, virtually all of that money goes to homeless families, not unaccompanied youth.”
